Jazz Money is a Wiradjuri poet and artist<br />
currently based on Gadigal land in Sydney, Australia. Her practice is<br />
centered around the written word while producing works that encompass<br />
installation, performance, digital, film and print. Jazz’s award-winning<br />
debut poetry collection is ‘how to make a basket’ (UQP, 2021).<br />
<br />
Through her writing Jazz Money excavates layers of memory and understanding — as a First Nations person, a queer person,<br />
and as someone who is skeptical about imperial imported<br />
western narratives imposed upon Australia. She explores how places and<br />
bodies hold memories, and the ways our ancestors walk with us,<br />
speak through us and wait for us.<br />
